Enhancements to your Message Centre
We're redesigning the Message Centre to make it easier for you to view and manage your messages!
The new Message Centre will consolidate your Alerts, News and Messages inboxes all onto the main Message Centre screen.
One inbox for all of your Message Centre items will ensure that you are able to quickly review all of your messages as well as when each message arrives in your inbox all in one place. You'll also have the capability to search for items by sender, subject and date received simply by selecting the column header links.

Assign nicknames to your CIBC accounts
Keeping track of all of your accounts is about to get easier. Soon you'll be able to assign nicknames to any of your accounts- including your Chequing, Savings and Visa accounts- that you can view when you're signed on to CIBC Online Banking.
This is especially helpful if you have multiple accounts of the same type. For example, if you have two CIBC Visa Cards, you could give them nicknames according to how you use them, such as: Household Visa, Vacation Visa.

Receive CIBC Alerts via SMS (text message)
You'll soon have the ability to receive some of our current CIBC Alerts via SMS (text message)*, including:
Postdated Bill Payment Success and Failure Alerts
These alerts notify you when a postdated or recurring bill payment is either successfully debited from your account or could not be debited from your account.
New Message Alerts
These alerts are triggered when CIBC replies to a message from you in the Message Centre.
All of these alerts will also still be available through your Message Centre and e-mail as they are now - we're just adding one more convenient way to keep on top of your banking.
As always, if you'd like to add or change your alert settings, you can do so quickly and easily while signed on to CIBC Online Banking.
*SMS is short for Short Messaging Service (text message) on a text enabled wireless device (e.g. cellular/mobile phone). Standard message and data rates may apply.

View upcoming transactions from your "Account Details" page
You'll be able to review upcoming transactions within CIBC Online Banking from the "Account Details" pages for specific accounts. Although you can currently view all of your upcoming transfers and bill payments within CIBC Online Banking, we'll soon be adding this feature to each "Account Details" page for deposit, Visa and Personal Line of Credit accounts.
This will make it faster and easier for you to review all information including upcoming transfers and bill payments pertaining to a particular account in one place.
