1 The CIBC Newcomers to Canada Plan may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Unless otherwise specified, special offers are limited to one per person. Offers apply to newly-issued products only. To be eligible to receive the CIBC Newcomers to Canada Plan offers, the customer must present his/her official Permanent Resident Card or Letter and request the CIBC Newcomers benefits when applying for a product. Credit products are not available to Newcomers with an unsatisfactory credit history.

2 Offer available on new CIBC Everyday Chequing Accounts only. A transaction includes a cheque, withdrawal, pre-authorized payment, bill payment or debit purchase. The waived fees are the regular monthly fee of $3.90 for up to 10 transactions plus $0.65 per each additional transaction beyond 10. Fee(s) apply to withdrawals at non-CIBC bank machines. Although transaction fees, including for processing cheques, are waived for one year, a fee applies if you purchase a booklet of cheques. Fee waiver is in effect for one year, after which regular monthly and transaction fees will automatically apply without prior notice.

3 Offer applies only to new Safety Deposit Boxes (where available), rented to Newcomers who also open a new CIBC chequing account. The prorated annual Safety Deposit Box fee plus taxes is due when the Safety Deposit Box is first rented; the regular annual Safety Deposit Box fee plus taxes will be collected in January of each year. The customer will be reimbursed the cost of a small Safety Deposit Box rental (up to $45 plus tax) into their CIBC chequing account approximately one to four weeks of the box being rented. This cannot be combined with any other Safety Deposit Box offer.

4 CIBC Newcomers Mortgage is limited to landed immigrants (regardless of when they attained that status)who do not have a Canadian credit bureau file that was opened more than 3 years ago.
Minimum down payment required. Credit approval is required. Other conditions and restrictions apply. Ask for details.

5 Subject to credit approval. Cash deposit equal to credit limit may be required.

6 Rebate rate depends on amount of Card purchases during year. Rebate is earned on Card purchases less returns, and not on cash advances, regular Convenience Cheques, Balance Transfers, fees, interest or payments. Rebate is credited to the Card account when the December account statement is issued, if Card is in good standing (otherwise, the rebate is cancelled.)
